I am an integrative counsellor with Carl Roger’s person-centred model at the core of my work. Depending on the way our counselling journey together unfolds, I can draw on other approaches as needed. My work is informed by Psychodynamic counselling, Mindfulness as well as a Trauma focussed approach. I am also an Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Sometimes, it can help to talk to someone neutral who doesn’t know the other people in your life. It is often easier to open up to a professional counsellor who works confidentially. No issue you are experiencing is “too big” or “too small” for our sessions. I respect and value you for the human being you are and I do not judge you. Whatever you bring to our sessions will be welcome and explored in a friendly and warm atmosphere.
I provide counselling sessions which are uniquely tailored to your needs, respecting you as an individual. No two people are the same and every counselling process is different, addressing diverse concerns such as relationship or attachment issues, trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, self and identity, life transitions, etc. We will be led by those areas which you would like to explore and there is no expectation for you to talk about anything you don’t want to discuss. The counselling process is yours and I will walk alongside you in an empathic and gentle way in order to support you during your journey.
I believe that we all carry our own answers within us and together we will enable you to get in touch with your own inner healing capacity.
My counselling room in Faversham is calm and quiet, offering a non-judgemental, safe space where we will gently explore together what is going on for you in a confidential manner. I will use my expertise to help you reach a deeper level of self knowledge and self acceptance. Sometimes, we can feel overwhelmed and out of control by the demands life makes on us and it can be hard to admit to ourselves that we are experiencing difficulties. There is no shame in engaging professional help. Counselling can be a very self-empowering process and can lead to a more effective way of managing your life.
Due to the COVID-19 situation, I am also offering sessions online or by telephone with the option to mix and match as feels right for you.
As choosing a counsellor can be very personal, I offer a first free consultation session. If you would like more information or book a free taster, just email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or give me a call at 07598595264 and we take it from there.
